Jenna Bilinski scored 50 points after playing a single letter in a game
of Scrabble. Bilinski placed the letter ‘X’ on a blue ‘Triple Letter
Score’ space at the intersection of ‘SPUN’ and ‘STING’, creating the
words ‘XU’ and ‘XI’. Each word was worth 25 points. This score beat a
previously denied attempt by 24 points.
The record was set on April 29, 2009 at Bilinski’s home in San Mateo,
California. Brandon Bilinski was present to document the record.
