A total of 560 deaf and hard-of-hearing students across Illinois joined together and participated in different community services. They set the record as part of Second Annual Deaf Can Do It Community Service Day.

Participating schools and programs included Illinois School for the Deaf, Kinzie School, Eisenhower Co-Op, John Powers Center,ECHO, Moline D/HH Program, Hinsdale South High School, Northwestern Illinois Association (NIA), NSSEO, Marion School for the Deaf, School District U-46, SASED, and the Kentucky School for the Deaf.
