Excellent documentation, Colten. Though what's up with shouting out Guinness instead of RecordSetter? :-)

Andy, thank you so much. You are a true gentleman. Not for forfeiting the record but for your very kind words (especially from a stranger on the internet). It really keeps me motivated. A sincere "thank you" from me.

Thanks Ma-Ann, that really means alot. I felt like this was the right thing to do. Congrats Pete!! On what's a tough shot to make for sure! You make it look so easy in your attempts!! I can make about 1 out of 100 when I try it!! lol!! Once again Congrats, you have a lot of talent and a lot of awesome records and you show alot of potential for life in general Pete, keep up the really good work man.

Andy, you are a true record holder, showing honesty and genuineness in every attempt. Thanks for clarification. Handing this category to Pete again.

I have redone this attempt under a different name, "The Longest Behind The Back Basketball Shot On A Adjustable Basketball Goal". My ball goal measured 1-2 inches over 10ft. when I measured it. A honest mistake on my part. So therefore it is not a standard ball goal. A standard ball goal is 10ft. So in all fairness Pete should be the holder once again of this record here. Like I said an honest mistake on my part and I have re-submitted my record under a different record name. Thanks

Yeah, I actually done a measurement of the ball goal back in the Summer before I done my other basketball shooting records then and it was 10ft. It hasen't been moved since then. I'll do another measurement and send it in possibly tomorrow if weather permits. I might even do a measurement of the height and do the record again just to prove that i'm not trying to pull one over on anybody. That's something that i'd never consider doing is cheating, if I can't do something without doing it right then I wouldn't make an effort to try it at all. So i'll probally redo this attempt anyway and put the height of the goal in with it as well. 10ft. is the standard height and is about all i've played on my whole life anyway. It might take me a couple hundred more times to remake the shot though when I retry it!! lol!!

Yeah, do you think you could include a video of you showing it's 10 feet tall? Great job though! I know it's a tough shot whether it's a 10 ft hoop or 9 ft.

Congrats Andy, good job, but I have one query though... the hoop doesn't look like a standard basketball hoop..

Congrats Andy, good job, but I have one query though... the hoop doesn't look like a standard ..

Shouldn't this be "farthest," not "longest". Great record though.
