Doug McManaman balanced 12 golf balls on top of a pole on ten body parts: his forehead, nose, chin, right ear, left thumb, right thumb, back of left hand, back of right hand, left wrist, and right wrist.

This is McManaman's 1000th world record. Charlie Weeks of Oxford Journal, Ron Bickle of 107.9 FM, Carl Mcmanaman, Johnathan Macinnis of CTV News, Duncan Carter, and Trevor Gaillard were present to witness the attempt. News story here.

- must use regulation golf balls
- must balance golf balls on top of a pole measuring at least 40 inches in length
- must balance balls and pole for at least 10 seconds on each body part
- may not pause more than 30 seconds between each balance
- if pole and balls fall during attempt, record is denied
- may not receive assistance during the attempt
- must observe RecordSetter balancing criteria

Given inconsistency in the various lengths of time for each balance, plus pauses between each balance, I don't think it's right to measure this feat by overall length of time. I propose we change the record to: Most Body Parts On Which To Balance 12 Golf Balls On Top Of A Pole.

We can add minimum length of time for each balance (Doug, what was the shortest balance?) and maximum length of time between each balance (Doug, what was the longest pause?)

Great record and achievement -- just want to make sure we frame it in the most accurate manner possible.

Doug, will you time the balances and let us know the shortest? Also, will you let us know the longest pause between any of the balances?

Hi Dan This is my take on the actual balance time of each position forehead 57 sec, nose 27 sec , chin 1 min 15 sec, left wrist 22 sec, Right thumb 55 sec, left thumb 1 min 5 sec, back of right hand 58 sec, back of left hand 12 sec right wrist 32 sec, ear 11 sec, . hope this is helpful but I like most body parts too. thanks.

6 min 54 sec total balancing time... minimum balance time 11 sec... Doug, Is there any rules about the pauses between balances?

    • Canada Dan Rollman

Adjustments made based on this thread. Tai, I added a rule that there may not be a pause of more than 30 seconds between each balance. Sound fair, y'all?

Hi Tai Only that balls must sit on golf tees .
