We think only a record holder can know what you go through to set a record, so we only let people that
have already set world records downvote other people's records.
What can I do?
Go set a record! If you can think of it, you can set a new world record for it.
Ah yes Doug, I agree on, why people do this - 'its a competition' but not just any competition, its a competition of will (how badly does a person want it), a competition of patience (even a competition against one's sense of boredom), a competition against the slowly growing muscular discomfort one feels in their arm muscles, and a competition against the awkwardness of putting yourself in that position (restricted from other freedoms)- It's pretty complex in a psychological manner of thought. All these illusive elements are actually what makes this hard to accomplish, because if it were easy - many would be going for this record. ;)
Love that you've both not given up, so true Doug "That's what records are for" to be set, broken, and broken again. And to have a full (almost) hour of evidence to sit and watch is so entertaining :) To honor the patience and concentration, someone needs to post a record for "Longest time watching someone balance an egg on the back of their hand". 3:38 "Should have put a movie on...". 3:50 shout out to Darryl Learie. More highlights: 23:54 he leans forward just a tad! 30:03, spins just a tad. No egg wobble. 31:43 Don't miss it people, it's an ear scratch while balancing and egg!! 37:48 Doug discusses with his egg why would people do this (??) 51:10 the old record is surpassed with nothing more than fierce concentration and a sniff.
Thank you, thank you Doug :D You did so awesome in breaking my record of 50 minutes - you so Rock Doug Mcmanaman, Congratualtions - your friend and fan, darryl learie. :)
Let it be known that Doug McManaman did 31 minutes on this record attempt - and although I did 50 minutes, 31 minutes was a hella-impressive benchmark. :D Doug you truly made me work for this one!
