I agree that you should keep your head touching the ceiling I will try to remember that when I try beating the record

Are those walls made of stamped concrete? Because they offer more friction.

    I could do better

  • India Mahendra Pratap Choudhary

The original rule of touching the ceiling with head throughout the attempt has not been followed by Gabi as well as she has taken the support of wall behind her by touching her back and resting on it, which should not be allowed. It can not be called balancing, she is actually sitting on the wall behind her. Please ensure to follow the original rules created by Daksh.

Whatever may be the title of this record, but touching the ceiling with head throughout the time is the most important rule of it and it must remain as it is. Height of normal ceilings is 8 - 10 ft, hence it's not a issue but without touching the ceiling and only supporting oneself between two walls is much easier. Therefore on behalf of Daksh, the original creator of this record, I being his father, request to keep the rule of touching the ceiling with head as one of the integral part of this record for future record breakers.

Per Pete's fair points, I modified title to:

Longest Time Supporting Oneself Between Parallel Walls

Let me know if you have concerns. Nice work, Daksh!

  • Philippines MaAnn P.

Yes...yes you are one tough little guy Daksh! :) Congrats

  • The Internet Phillip Do

Daksh, you're awesome dude! And ridiculously smart (I'm a chemistry major and I probably can't recite the periodic table). I KNEW that you would come back to beat me. I had a pretty hard time staying up for my time. Great job man, never stop improving yourself.

    This should be no shoes

    Game on.

I'd do away with the rule requiring the head to touch the ceiling.

Also, I'd rename this record. I don't think this really involves "balance."

i think keep your head on the ceiling is an important aspect to this record.. especially after watching the original video.

    • The Internet Phillip Do

I agree with you Pete, but you should probably take that up with the admins. And I assume that the record creator (Daksh Choudhary. That kid is awesome.) has the right to call whatever rules they want.

But hey, rules are rules, they must be followed to be approved. At least that's what I thought ahem, last record setter......

    • Philippines MaAnn P.

I agree with Tai and the rest. I think keeping the head on the ceiling is important as it adds difficulty to this record. Kudos to Phillip for following the rule

    • United States PeteM

      How does it add difficulty?

    • United States Tai Star

first you have to climb to the top using energy before the time starts... and, having to keep your head on the ceiling prevents or hinders a lot of adjusting that can be done.

    • United States PeteM

But ceilings are different heights. To keep this general I'd call it "Longest Time to Hold One's Self Up Between Parallel Walls" (Not Balance)

But the climbing aspect does make me want to see someone set a record climbing like this as high as they can.

    • Philippines MaAnn P.

I'm guessing all these locations are within standard ceiling height which is fair for everyone. If we bend this rule that could affect the record time, it'd be unfair for Phillip and Daksh who both followed them strictly especially for Daksh, the original record setter who set this rule, and whose opinion is yet unheard. Moving forward, my opinion is to keep it. I believe the standard ceiling height is 8-10ft, that'll set a common level for future record setters

Pete, are you familiar with Ninja Warrior? They had an obstacle once where the competitors had to climb like this for 40 feet!

    • The Internet Phillip Do

Ninja Warrior is awesome, I wanted to try out for it back then.

But I'm surprised this record was at the top of the site. I'm humbled that no one has uploaded this record with 2, or maybe 10 times what Alex and I were able to do. Any avid rock climber would destroy us, since they've developed and constantly flex the muscles to hold awkward positions.

your head didn't touch the ceiling
