Twitter user @BaltimoreMD made Internet history by gaining 1495 new followers in the name of a tattoo, a new world record. The man behind the account, Ryan Goff, promised the Twitter community that if he was able to move beyond the 3000 follower mark, he’d get a Fail Whale tattoo on his arm. Gaining 1495 followers in just 12 hours, he succeeded in his goal and got the tattoo the following day.
The feat was achieved on February 24, 2009 in Baltimore, Maryland. Goff got the tattoo on February 25, 2009 at Saints and Sinners Tattooing and Piercing[] in Fells Point, Maryland.
