Takeru Kobayashi ate 13 grilled cheese sandwiches in one minute, a RecordSetter world record. The record was set at the GroupMe Grill during the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas. NOTE: Speed eating can be dangerous. Please use caution when making an attempt.

Chef Bob Villeneuve, Director of Culinary Innovation at Maple Leaf Foods, prepared a BLT sandwich that measured 227 feet, 7 inches in length. After he'd prepared it, it was consumed by Maple Leaf employees.

Todd Lamb won back the title in a category he originally created by looking at 60 images of fish sandwiches in one minute, a new world record. His performace broke the previous record of 57 held by 91X Morning Show[] radio DJ Carlos Montoya. Lamb was aided by his assistant Marcus Livesay, who prepared by donning surgical gloves and chugging a Jolt. The feat was achieved at a World Record Appreciation Society event on February 11, 2009 in New York City. Corey Henderson was on hand to document and count the images. #WRAS03, #RecordSetterBook01

103.7 WDBR and Cafe Brio in Springfield, Illinois joined forces to create a horseshoe sandwich measuring 57 inches long by 44 inches wide. The project, set during World Record July, benefited the Children's Miracle Network. In total, the sandwich contained 150 pounds of ground beef, 10 pounds of Cafe Brio's signature chipotle cheese sauce, over 100 pounds of french fries tossed with garlic and sea salt, was served on over 40 pounds of homemade foccacia onion bread and weighed in at over 400 pounds.

Sara, Shayne, Tim, Kathy, Andrea and Lace made 122 sandwich meals in one hour. The meal included peanut butter, ham and turkey sandwiches, chips, water, a dessert and a fruit snack. They donated all meals to the PADS Shelter in North Chicago, Illinois.

Demonstrating his encyclopedic knowledge of Jewish delis, David Sax names 30 of them in just one minute, a new universal record. Sax showed tremendous focus while setting the record, ignoring an obnoxious heckler who kept yelling, “Carnegie!” He performed the feat on February 11, 2009 at a World Record Appreciation Society event held in New York City. Corey Henderson was present to document the feat and count the names.
