    Pushing the physical limits of mankind, Jesse James sets a world record for the shortest thumb on a fully grown human. James’ thumb, which measures just 1 1/2 inches in length, was documented at the Burning Man festival in Black Rock City, Nevada on August 29, 2008. Dan Rollman and Tonya Zohba, Executive Committee Members of the Playa Book of Records, were on hand to measure and videotape the record-setting digit.

    Shortest Greeting Card Collection

    Julie Tremblay made five handmade greeting cards that were all five millimeters or shorter, a new world record. The only tools she used were a pencil and paper.

    Tremblay set the record on April 11, 2009 in the living room of her Portland, Connecticut home. Chelsea Walsh was present to witness and measure the cards.

    Card Descriptions:

    1. 5mm tall, 3mm wide. Card reads quot;Helloquot; on the front and quot;I thinking of u. - Juliequot; on the inside.

    2. 3mm tall, 3mm wide. Card reads quot;I’m Sorryquot; on the front and quot;Please 4give mequot; on the inside.

    3. 1.2mm tall, 3mm wide. Card reads quot;Happy B-Dayquot; on the front and quot;EN-JOYquot; on the inside.

    4. 2mm tall, 3mm wide. Card reads quot;Thanxquot; on the front and quot;U R GREATquot; on the inside.

    5. 2mm tall, 1.4mm wide. Card has a Christmas tree on the front and reads quot;NOELquot; on the inside.
