    Alex Young knit a scarf measuring 5 feet, 8 inches in two hours, a new world record. She used size 17 U.S. needles and two huge balls of yarn.

    Young knit the scarf on May 20, 2009 at a World Record Appreciation Society[] event in New York City. Dan Rollman and Corey Henderson were present to document the feat.
