Longest Scarf Knit In Two Hours
Alex Young knit a scarf measuring 5 feet, 8 inches in two hours, a new world record. She used size 17 U.S. needles and two huge balls of yarn.
Young knit the scarf on May 20, 2009 at a World Record Appreciation Society[] event in New York City. Dan Rollman and Corey Henderson were present to document the feat.

This record was set as part of Prius Records, a two-day event streamed live on the Internet. In a 48-hour period, URDB officials adjudicated 200 Prius-related world records. This was the most records ever documented in a 48-hour window, a world record in and of itself.

A group of 156 students from Lavalette Elementary School wore jellyfish scarves at the same time. The feat was set to raise environmental awareness for Barnegat Bay.
