Reading World Records  

As part of the "Dream Big - Read" summer reading program, a total of 17 people from Kasson Public Library read Goodnight Moon at once.

As part of the "Dream Big - Read" summer reading program, members of Kasson Public Library gathered 15 people to simultaneously read "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" by Bill Martin Jr. and Eric Carle.

Stephanie Martoccio read the names of 50 buildings in 29.22 seconds. She set the record as part of the College of Lake County Social Action Club's World Record Day fundraiser for the Zacharias Sexual Abuse Center in Gurnee, Illinois. #WorldRecordDay2012

Harmon Leon raised his eyebrows 217 times while listening to a recording of Jeff Daniels reading the Gettysburg Address.

A total of 33 people from the Book Cellar read aloud simultaneously during a stop on the RecordSetter Book tour.

J. Teed led 17 of his grade seven students in reading The Hunger Games.

Eli Rollman and his family read Dr. Seuss’s "There’s A Wocket In My Pocket" in one minute, 44.89 seconds during a stop on the RecordSetter Book tour.

Mick Cullen read the names of 56 countries aloud in 16.55 seconds.

Kirk Larsen texted 10 fake world records to live audiences in two minutes on another person’s phone and was read aloud by each recipient.

Mick Cullen completed a dramatic reading of "Baby One More Time" in 51.53 seconds. He performed the feat during a live episode ofSubterranean on WRLR, 98.3 FM.[]

This record was set as part of Prius Records, a two-day event streamed live on the Internet. In a 48-hour period, URDB officials adjudicated 200 Prius-related world records.
