A student camper from iD Tech Camps Trinity University displays
amazing dexterity by twisting all her fingers one over another in 4.50
seconds, a new world record. On both hands, the upper half of each
finger, from thumb to ring finger, was contorted to rest atop the lower
half of the finger next to it.
Andrew James Black sets world record for the longest word or phrase
spelled using only fingers and hands. Black spelled quot;boy toy, quot; a
six-letter phrase. His feat beat the previous record of
quot;bloodquot; by one letter.
Black set the record on March 25, 2009 at his home in Hamilton, Ontario.
Pushing the physical limits of mankind, Jesse James sets a world record
for the shortest thumb on a fully grown human. James’ thumb, which
measures just 1 1/2 inches in length, was documented at the Burning Man
festival in Black Rock City, Nevada on August 29, 2008. Dan Rollman and
Tonya Zohba, Executive Committee Members of the Playa Book of Records,
were on hand to measure and videotape the record-setting digit.
This record was set as part of Toyota Prius Records, a two-day event
streamed live on the Internet. In a 48-hour period, URDB officials
adjudicated 200 Prius-related world records. This was the most records
ever documented in a 48-hour window, a world record in and of itself.
The event took place in Los Angeles, California on March 30th and 31st,
2011. See all the records set at the event here.
Putting potential concern for his life aside, Vince Veneziani made
history by throwing 13 different gang signs in one minute, a new world
record. Signs thrown included “Blood”, “Crips”, and “Mafia”.
The feat was achieved at a World Record Appreciation Society event
in New York City on February 11, 2009. Dan Rollman was on hand to
document and count the signs. Though dressed in blue from head to toe,
Veneziani swears he has no gang allegiances.
