Color Magazine and Globe Shoes teammates Chris Haslam, Ryan Decenzo, and Mark Appleyard skated 31 skateboard parks across Vancouver's Lower Mainland in a single day, a new world record. It took them 18 hours to complete the attempt.
This year’s Social Good Summit sparked a record-setting global conversation on using social media and technology for good. The summit united people participating online and in-person in nearly 300 cities, including New York, Beijing, and Nairobi, around one goal: unlocking the potential of social media and technology to make the world a better place. The gathering took place as world leaders gathered to kick-off the UN General Assembly, opening the dialogue about world issues and challenges to a global constituency
They set the record during the Social Good Summit 2012, a three-day conference about new ideas and innovative solutions, in New York City. RecordSetter CTO Corey Henderson was present to adjudicate the attempt. Read more about the feat here.
Led by Ashley and Tyler Moreland, a group of people performed 10,000 street hockey shots in three hours. The record was set to raise funds for Lamp Lighters Hockey Ministry in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Over $4,000 was raised for their Hockey Mobile during the event. Read more about the feat here.
Andy and Paddy skied at 17 different resorts in one day. They traversed the entire Trois Vallees, Paradiski, and Espace Killy regions. The total distance travelled was 119 km. It took them seven hours and 30 minutes to finish the attempt. See their route here.
