Moreschi’s daring feat was performed on February 11, 2009 at a World Record Appreciation Society event at Pianos, a New York City bar. His face turned slightly purple as he set the record, forcing witnesses Corey Henderson and Kate Sullivan to periodically check his pulse.

The record was set at a company function on January 14, 2009 in Boston, Massachusetts. Justin Bucci was present to witness the feat and count the shirts.
