Justin Gignac ate and read five fortune cookies in one minute, a world record. He stipulated beforehand that he was allowed to use water to dip the cookies, and that each fortune had to be clearly read to the best of his abilities.

Gignac performed the feat on July 14, 2009 at a World Record Appreciation Society[] event in New York City. Dan Rollman and Corey Henderson were present to witness and time the feat.
