    RecordSetter record holder Art Hoffman has Guinness World Record holder Plennie Wingo’s autograph.

    Hoffman bumped into Wingo in Santa Monica, California in 1973, and asked him why he was walking backwards. He discovered Wingo was in the midst of an 8000-mile trek walking backwards. Wingo had small rearview mirrors affixed to his glasses that originally caught Hoffman’s eye.

    As part of a charity initiative, 53 indie music artists signed a single Saucony sneaker. The contributors came from 20 bands different bands who performed at the 2009 Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago, Illinois, including Yo La Tengo, The National and The Walkmen[].

    The shoe will be auctioned off on MissionFish.org, with all proceeds going to Saucony’s Run for Good Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to combating childhood obesity.

    Using a Sharpie marker, Alex Young signed her name 34 times on the torso of a stranger.

    Young achieved the feat on July 14, 2009 at a World Record Appreciation Society[] event in New York City. Dan Rollman and Corey Henderson were present as witnesses.
